Privacy Policy: Image Resizer & Compressor
Effective date: 4 October 2026
App: Image Resizer & Compressor (Android, package )com.ignoufy.imageresizer
Developer: AJ AppWorks
Contact: support@ignoufy.com
This policy explains what information Image Resizer & Compressor (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your photos are processed on your phone and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. The app uses the internet only for ads, the optional Premium subscription and crash reports, as described below.
1. Your photos and their details
- Processing happens on your device. When you compress, resize, crop, rotate or convert a photo, all the work is done on your phone. Your photos are never sent to our servers. We do not have servers that receive photos.
- Only the photos you choose. The app uses Android’s photo picker, so it can open only the photos you select. It does not browse your gallery.
- Your originals are never changed. Results are saved as new files in your Pictures folder (Pictures/Image Resizer), or in a folder you choose in Settings.
- Photo details (metadata). Photos can contain details such as GPS location, camera model and the date taken. The app reads these on your device only to show them to you and to remove or keep them as you choose. By default, new images are saved without this information. The app does not send these details anywhere.
2. Information stored only on your phone
The app keeps the following on your device. We cannot access any of it:
- History (“My Photos”): the file names, sizes, settings and dates of images you created, so you can reopen or reuse them.
- Presets: sizes and limits you save, such as “Application photo”.
- Settings: theme, default metadata choice, save location, and whether you have Premium (remembered so ads don’t flash while Google Play confirms it).
You can remove this information at any time by clearing history in the app, by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.
3. Information handled by third-party services
The app includes services from Google that may collect information automatically. They do not receive your photos or photo details.
a) Advertising: Google AdMob
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect:
- your device’s advertising ID,
- IP address (used to estimate your general location, such as country or city),
- device and app information (model, Android version, language, app version),
- ad interactions (for example, whether an ad was shown or tapped).
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and some US states), the app first shows Google’s consent message, and ads are requested only as you allow. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy Options (shown where it applies). On any Android phone you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings under Settings → Google → Ads.

b) Premium subscription: Google Play Billing
If you buy Premium, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card, UPI or bank details. Google Play tells the app only whether your subscription is active, so it can remove ads and the batch limit. Payment and refund handling is governed by Google Play’s terms and privacy policy.
c) Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (by Google) may send a crash report so we can fix the problem. A report contains technical information only: the error and where it happened in the app, device model, Android version, app version, free memory and storage, and a random installation identifier. It does not contain your photos, file contents or photo details.

4. What we do not do
- We do not upload, view, store or share your photos.
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, phone number or contacts.
- We do not access your precise location. Location inside a photo’s details is read on your device only, as described above.
- We do not sell your personal information.
5. Permissions the app may request
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Photo picker (no permission needed) | To open only the photos you choose |
| Notifications | To show progress while a batch of photos is processed |
| Storage (Android 9 and older only) | To save new images to your Pictures folder |
| Internet and network state | For ads, the Premium subscription and crash reports |
| Foreground service | To keep a batch running when you leave the app |
6. Children
The app is a general utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app’s third-party services, contact us and we will help you have it removed.
7. Data retention
- Information stored on your phone stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Ad and crash data held by Google is kept according to Google’s own retention policies. Crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics are kept for up to 90 days.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU/UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold no personal data on our own servers, most requests are handled directly in the app or on your device:
- Withdraw ad consent: Settings → Privacy Options (where shown).
- Reset your advertising ID: your phone’s Google ad settings.
- Delete local data: clear history, clear app storage, or uninstall.
For anything else, including requests about data held by Google’s services, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
Because photos never leave your device, the main protection is your phone’s own security. Information sent to Google’s services (ads, billing, crash reports) is encrypted in transit.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The “Effective date” at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s update notes on Google Play.
